These beautiful trash cans were designed by artists commissioned by TRASHed for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. I’m sorely tempted to try to decorate my city-issued trash can thusly.
From the TRASHed website:
The TRASHed campaign is a year long trash education program developed by Fashion Peace that redefines the way people and businesses view recycling and trash collection. TRASHed develops programs that fit seamlessly within the surrounding environment and provide creative options in the way people approach waste management.
TRASHed represented at Coachella this year with 35 recycling/trash stations around the main festival grounds and back stage. Each station was equipped with signage directing people to the trash or recycling bins. The recycling bins were designed by talented artists up+down the west coast while the trash were left blank.
That is so cool! I love the two on the left!
