CSA season in South Florida is just now winding down. Our big growing season is the winter...in the summer, it's too hot to grow a lot of vegetables. It should be fruit season now, but our CSA stopped its summer fruit program...waaaah!

I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with myself now that I have to go back to buying produce as-needed. I also feel a little bit like I should have done better preserving our leftovers. It makes me wonder how the original Floridians dealt with not being able to get vegetables in the summer.

Finding a local farmers market can be pretty tough in certain parts of the country. You can call your local municipalities to find out if they have issued any permits or are running farmers markets. I put some more helpful tips on how to find a farmers market on my blog
